Unable to activate product due to "Error 10: Activation Limit Reached" error

Unable to activate product due to "Error 10: Activation Limit Reached" error:

Issue

When trying to activate your Autodesk product you receive the following error message:

프로그램 설치를 하고 인증을 시도하였는데 아래와 같이 인증한도초과 오류메시지가 나온다면:

Activation Limit Reached
You have already activated your product on the maximum number of computers permitted by your license.

If you would like an Autodesk customer service agent to manually review your activation history, please complete a Customer Service Request.
(Error: 10)

Solution

As stated in the message, this error indicates that you are attempting to activate your Autodesk product on more computers than is allowed by your license. Stand-alone licenses may be installed and activated on a maximum of two computers; consult your End User License Agreement (EULA) or Home Use License Agreement (Subscription customers only) for details and restrictions.
해당 메시지는 허용된 것 보다 많은 컴퓨터에서 인증을 시도할 때 나타나는 오류입니다
Try to determine if your license was previously activated without your knowledge. Also, imaging software such as Norton Ghost—sometimes used to copy and deploy Autodesk products over a network—can also copy activation information which will trigger this error message. If you are trying to deploy your Autodesk software to multiple computers on a network, we recommend using the "Create Deployment" functionality in the Autodesk product installer rather than using 3rd-party cloning applications.
알지 못하는 사이에 이전에 인증된 적이 있는지 확인해 보고, 또 노턴고스트와 같은 백업소프트웨어도 인증정보를 복사한 경우 이런 메시지를 낼 수도 있습니다.
If you are installing a Stand-alone Autodesk product on a new machine and the old machine is still functioning, you can opt to transfer a license from one machine to another using either the License Transfer Utility (2010 products and later) or the Portable License Utility (2009 products and older). Please refer to the following solutions for more information on these methods:

만약 단독버전을 새 컴퓨터에 설치를 한 뒤 예전 컴퓨터에서 여전히 작동을 하고있다면, License Transfer Utility를 사용하여 새 컴퓨터로 라이센스를 옮길 수 있습니다.

If these methods fail or you otherwise require assistance with your activation, you may submit a request for help using the onlineLicense Registration and Activation Assistance Form.

Top Five Reasons Why You May Receive a Serial Number Error During Activation

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=16485441&linkID=9241177&CMP=OTC-RSSSUP01

  1. Typos are made during activation
Take care entering these values as you register and activate your products, so that you don’t inadvertently transpose or skip numbers or letters.
    • Serial Number
    • Host Name (only valid for Network Licenses)
    • MAC or Physical Address (only valid for Network Licenses)
    • Host ID (only valid for Network Licenses)
    1. The serial number you are attempting to use does not match the product
There are several scenarios in which this mismatch can occur. Before registering and activating your license, please be sure the Serial Number you are using matches the product and release of the product and the type of license you have purchased.
    • The serial number is valid, but is associated with a different product (e.g., AutoCAD LT 2010 versus AutoCAD)
    • The serial number is valid, but is associated with a different version of AutoCAD (e.g., AutoCAD 2009 versus AutoCAD 2011)
    • The serial number is valid for a network deployment, but you are trying to activate the product as a standalone license (and vice versa)
    1. The serial number you are attempting to use is truly not valid anymore
There are a couple of scenarios in which a serial number can be made obsolete. Before registering and activating your product, please be sure the Serial Number you are using matches the product and release of the product and the type of license you have purchased.
    • The serial number is associated with a product or a release of a product that you are not licensed to use
    • The serial number is obsolete and has been replaced with another serial number, in an effort to simplify a Subscription contract
    1. The contact information you are using does not match what is already associated with the Serial Number when the product was registered
This usually occurs when there is a change to your name, the name of your company, or your address after the product was registered. Be sure to keep your contact information up to date inRegister Once. There, you can add an account with your current information, register products to that account, and delete your old accounts, or those with outdated information.
      1. You may have exceeded the activation limit on the license you are attempting to activate
Activation limits are set based on the type of license agreement you have with Autodesk. They are designed so that you can easily remain compliant with the license you purchased and so that you are protected from someone else using your license.

If you receive an error message about reaching your activation limit, you will need to request activation assistance directly from Autodesk. To do so, visit our License Registration and Activation Assistance page and select the Activation Assistance Form for the license you are trying to activate.
