VIACAD9 Mesh To NURBS Test (메쉬를 넙스로 변환시켜 주는 VIACAD9 테스트)

So I've tested VIACAD9 (above link) because this tool has [Mesh to NURBS] feature.

메쉬 오브젝트를 넙스로 변환해 준다고 하는 VIACAD9 의 베타버전을 받아서 테스트 해 봤습니다.

실행하면 인터페이스가 이렇게 나오네요.



I imported OBJ file which I made with 3ds Max.
3ds Max에서 만들었던 소파를 불러와 봤습니다.


Tried to convert it to NURBS
그리고 이걸 넙스로 변환을 했습니다.


Some objects are perfect, but some are not. ;-)
대부분 잘 변환이 되었는데 하단 가로버팀대가 좀 이상하게 변환이 되었네요.


I imported single merged object that I made with 3ds Max too.
이번에는 역시 3ds Max 에서 만들었던 의자를 하나의 오브젝트로 합쳐서 내보내기 했습니다.


The convert result is..
 그리고 불러와서 다시 변환을 했더니

Not perfect yet.  :)
비슷한 결과가 나오는군요.
베타버전이라서 그런걸까요?

MS ICE 를 이용해서 영상을 파노라마 사진으로 만들어 봤습니다.


평소에 자주 사용하는 프로그램 중 하나가 파노라마 사진을 만들어 주는

마이크로소프트에서 나온 무료 프로그램 ICE (Image Composite Editor) 입니다.

여행사진 중에서 파노라마 사진은 거의 99퍼센트 이걸로 만든 것입니다.

최근에 2.0으로 업그레이드 되면서 기능이 대폭 늘어났습니다.

새로 생긴 기능 중에서

영상을 이용해서 파노라마 이미지로 만들 수 있는 기능이 있습니다.

또 이미지의 모자란 부분을 자동으로 채워주는 기능 또한 포함되었습니다.

테스트 해 봤습니다.


첫번째 영상입니다.

두 개의 영상을 합친건데 파노라마로 만들 때는 각각의 영상을 사용했습니다.

유튜브에만 합쳐서 올렸어요.

이걸 파노라마로 만든 사진입니다. 클릭하면 크게 확대됩니다.

두 번째 이미지의 하늘 부분에 이상한 얼룩이 남는 것은

새로 생긴 Auto Complete 를 이용해서 자동수정을 한 것인데

산등성이 부분이 복제되어서 그런 모양입니다.

그 동안에는 하늘을 일일이 포토샵에서 불러서 스탬프 툴로 문질렀었는데

그나마 수고가 좀 덜어질 것 같습니다.

무료 레퍼런스 이미지 뷰어입니다.

계속 무료일 지 어떨지는 모르겠으나 현재 버전은 0.2 입니다.

테두리 없이 이미지만 보여주며 여러개의 이미지를 불러와서 레이아웃을 저장하고

나중에 다시 불러올 수도 있습니다.

키보드 T 를 누른 채 왼쪽 마우스 클릭+위아래 드래그를 하여

이미지의 투명도를 조절할 수도 있습니다.

This project is devoted to filling gaps in meshes obtained from scanned point clouds and related problems.
Creating CAD-models from scanned point clouds is widely used in prototyping, reverse engineering, and many other fields of science, culture and industry. But because of various physical and technical reasons such point cloud often contains regions with poor point density that leads to surface discontinuities in the resulting model. So, the problem of filling such discontinuities by proper surface patches is very topical. There are many solutions proposed but most of them consider only filling simple shape holes. Our group has developed a method that allows repairing even seriously damaged meshes. As distinct from existing ones, it can connect different boundaries of a specified damaged model to restore its original topology. This ability is required if the model’s surface is represented by several isolated mesh pieces or (and) if the model has one or several tunnel-like holes whose internal parts are lost due to poor scanning.




MeshLab 1.3






MeshLab is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of unstructured 3D triangular meshes.
The system is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small unstructured models arising in 3D scanning, providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes.
The system is heavily based on the VCG library developed at the Visual Computing Lab of ISTI - CNR, for all the core mesh processing tasks and it is available for Windows, MacOSX, and Linux. . The MeshLab system started in late 2005 as a part of the FGT course of the Computer Science department of University of Pisa and most of the code (~15k lines) of the first versions was written by a handful of willing students. The following years FGT students have continued to work to this project implementing more and more features. The proud MeshLab developers are listed here.
This project is actively supported by the 3D-CoForm project.
Other projects that have previously supported MeshLab are listed here.

Remember that, whenever you use MeshLab in a official/commercial project or in any kind of research, you should:
  • Explicitly cite in your work that you have used MeshLab, a tool developed with the support of the 3D-CoForm project,
  • Post a couple of lines in the users' forum describing the project where MeshLab was used.

  • Interactive selection and deletion of portion of the mesh. Even for large models.
  • Painting interface for selecting, smoothing and coloring meshes.
  • Input/output in many formats:
    • import:PLY, STL, OFF, OBJ, 3DS, COLLADA, PTX, V3D, PTS, APTS, XYZ, GTS, TRI, ASC, X3D, X3DV, VRML, ALN
    • export:PLY, STL, OFF, OBJ, 3DS, COLLADA, VRML, DXF, GTS, U3D, IDTF, X3D
    • Point Clouds support. Now 3D files that are composed only by points are well supported in PLY and OBJ format.
    • U3D support; MeshLab is the first open source tool to provide direct conversion of 3D meshes into the U3D format. Now you can create pdf, like this with 3D objects with just MeshLab and LaTeX.
  • Mesh Cleaning Filters:
    • removal of duplicated, unreferenced vertices, null faces
    • removal of small isolated components
    • coherent normal unification and flipping
    • erasing of non manifold faces
    • automatic filling of holes
  • Remeshing filters:
    • High quality edge collapse simplification (even with texture coords preservation)
    • Surface reconstruction from points (a ball pivoting variant, marching cubes and poisson's reconstruction)
    • Subdivision surfaces (loop and butterfly)
    • Feature preserving smoothing and fairing filters
    • Holes filling
  • Various Colorization/Inspection filters
    • Gaussian and mean curvature
    • Border edges, geodesic distance, from borders
    • Non two-manifold edges and vertices
    • Self intersecting faces
    • Ambient Occlusion. An ambient occlusion field can be computed and stored per vertex
  • Interactive Mesh Painting
    • Color Painting
    • Selection paint
    • Smoothing
  • Measuring tool. You can take linear measures between points of the displayed meshes
  • Slicing tool. A new tool that allows to export planar sections of a mesh in SVG format
  • 3D Scanning tools
    • Alignment ICP based range map alignment tool, for putting meshes into the same reference space.
    • Merging of multiple meshes the Poisson surface reconstruction source code (kindly provided by by Michael Kazhdan and Matthew Bolitho) have been included in.
  • OpenGL Shader based rendering (write your own shader!) compatible with Typhoon Lab's Shader Designer
  • Large rendering (up to 16k x 16k) for high quality printing
  • The history of the all performed cleaning/editing actions can be re-played on different meshes or saved and for archival purposes.
  • Extendible plugins based architecture, writing new mesh processing functions, colorization filters and support for different file formats is quite easy! Look at PlugIn Samples

Windows build is back:

Just to tease a bit our Windows users about a good news : today Tumagonx on our IRC channel ( #mypaint , FreeNode ) posted a screenshot of a recent build of Mypaint running on a Windows operating system environment. This simply mean Mypaint 1.0 ( coming soon ) will also be available for this platform.  because we know many users waited for it, we wanted to share the good news immediately. Be patient until the future packaging and download available.
