How to use your Autodesk software in a different language

Scenario

As an Autodesk Subscription Customer, you would like to use your software in a different language.

Solution

As a Subscription customer, you can request and use a different language of most Autodesk products at no charge, directly from Subscription Center by using our Language Exchange feature. You can either Download a Language Exchange orRequest Physical Media for a Language Exchange (e.g., CD, DVD, or USB) for the licenses you have purchased on Subscription.

Two Things to Know Before Trying Language Exchange

1. You will need to use the product in the country in which you registered your license. This is so that you maintain your compliance with the license you purchased.
2. When we release a new version of the product, it will be made available to you in the language you purchased originally. If you choose to upgrade, you’ll need to use the Language Exchange again to use the product in a different language.

Download a Language Exchange – Instant delivery To download software for a Language Exchange, sign in to Subscription Center then select Downloads from the main left menu.

Note: If you do not have permissions to download from Subscription Center, you must contact yourContract Administrator, for assistance. Learn How to find your Contract Manager in Subscription Center.

Click Download Your Upgrade Now to access My Products. Find the product and version of the software and then select the desired language from the pull-down menu. Note: If you do not see the product and version you would like, it is likely because the license for the software is not on an active Subscription contract. If you have questions about your Autodesk Subscription, contact your Autodesk Authorized Reseller. Note: If you do not see the language you would like, it is because this product has not been released in this language. Click "Download"and your download will begin. Request Physical Media for a Language Exchange – Up to 8 weeks for delivery To request the physical media for a Language Exchange, sign in to Subscription Center and select Contact Us. In the Topics field, choose Other and then click Select. In the Subject field, enter Box Needed for Language Exchange and then type the following into the Descriptionfield: Your Serial Number Name of the product (e.g., AutoCAD) Version of the software (e.g., 2011) Language you would like Your shipping address. Click Submit to send your request. Note: Your request will be handled usually within one business day.
